Sikh and mistaken identity
Exploring the issue of Islamophobic attacks against Sikhs since 9/11, Dr Jhutti-Johal will discuss how the turban Sikh identity in the UK context has become a focus for Islamophobia since 9/11, 7/7 and most recently post-Brexit. She will also consider how British Sikhs and the British government have responded and reacted to these incidences.
