Women Against Radicalisation Network works at grassroots engagement empowering engaging and educating women who may be at risk whilst providing safeguarding for families against radicalisation. Tackling issues such as mental health well-being, sexual exploitation, grooming, domestic abuse, ‘honour’-based violence, gender equality & misogyny by providing a safe space to discuss how these may contribute towards vulnerabilities and provision of support for the women through WARN including safe houses.
VAWG and Islam
Historically, violence against women and girls has often been justified culturally using various Hadith traditions and Quranic references. This will be addressed and tackled by breaking down the arguments used to support the justifications and refute the claims it is acceptable.
